Nestled in the serene landscapes of northeast Tennessee, The Farm on Pemberton is a wedding venue that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, cozy comforts, and heartfelt hospitality. What makes this venue truly special is its enchanting history and the personal touch of its owners, who are dedicated to making every couple's wedding day unforgettable. Samantha and Zac, who celebrated their love here in April 2024, are a testament to the venue’s magic.
Samantha and Zac's love story began in 2012 when they met while working together at Jersey Mike's Subs. Their bond deepened over the years, culminating in a heartwarming engagement on Valentine's Day 2021. Zac proposed by placing Samantha's engagement ring on top of her favorite ice cream quart in the freezer—a personal and delightful surprise.
When Samantha and Zac started planning their wedding, they wanted a venue that reflected their love for nature and a warm, inviting atmosphere. After visiting The Farm on Pemberton, in Bristol, TN they immediately fell in love with its rustic charm and stunning scenery. "I loved the pictures of the venue the moment I saw them!" Samantha exclaimed.
The inspiration to establish The Farm on Pemberton as a wedding venue came from a personal experience. When the owners, Matt and Olivia, got married in 2017, they struggled to find a venue that met their desires within their budget. Their experience highlighted a need in the area for a venue that offered beauty, amenities, and excellent service at a reasonable price. They decided to take a chance on their new home, and now, four years later, The Farm on Pemberton has become a beloved wedding venue known for its exceptional balance of luxurious amenities and affordability.
Samantha and Zac were no exception in their admiration for the venue. They cherished the breathtaking scenery and the variety of outdoor settings. They chose the Rustic Barn for their ceremony, with its weathered wooden interior, sawdust floors, and Edison lights in the rafters, creating a charming and rustic atmosphere that perfectly suited their style.
Another highlight for the couple was the spacious and comfortable bridal suite. This suite is like a home away from home, complete with a kitchen, private bathroom and shower room, sitting area, dressing area, and both heat and air conditioning. It provided a perfect space for Samantha and her bridal party to get ready and relax before the ceremony, while Zac and his groomsmen took over the Rustic Barn for their preparations.
The venue is easily accessible for all guests, including those with special needs like Samantha’s father, who had mobility issues. Witnessing him escort Samantha down the aisle was a poignant moment, radiating the love that filled the air. My favorite picture of the day is Samantha outside, getting ready to enter the ceremony barn, while her father patiently waits inside to take her to the altar.
For the reception, Samantha and Zac opted for the White Barn, decorating it with elegant floral arrangements to create a romantic ambiance. Their wedding color palette of sage and olive green, cream, navy, and dark walnut blended beautifully with the natural surroundings and the decor of the White Barn.
The couple’s day was filled with personal touches that made it uniquely theirs. They were excited to see friends and family who had traveled from out of state, adding to the joy of their celebration. Special elements like a dog treat area and a geode breaking station (Samantha is an Adjunct Lab Instructor in Geosciences at ETSU!) added fun and meaningful moments to their wedding. The cake was another nod to Samantha’s profession, decorated to look like a geode, with realistic-looking quartz and amethyst that also tasted fantastic!
Samantha and Zac's favorite activity is spending time at home with their four dogs, so it was fitting that their canine companions were included in their wedding—not in person, but as four little figurines on the dessert table. The cake toppers featured bobbleheads of the couple and figures of their four dogs surrounding the cupcake tower.
The reception in the White Barn was equally stunning. The space was transformed into a romantic haven with elegant floral arrangements (including gemstones), and rustic decor elements reflecting Samantha and Zac's personal style. Their first dance under the soft glow of barn lights was a highlight of the evening, surrounded by their loved ones.
A unique treat of the day was the cute pink flower truck by Fina Florals, with owner Haley bringing fresh flower bouquets for all the guests to take home!
The owners of The Farm on Pemberton feel deeply honored each time a couple chooses their farm for their wedding. They understand the significance of this decision and are committed to treating each couple as if they were the only ones, making every effort to turn their dreams into reality and create beautiful, lasting memories.
Samantha and Zac's wedding is a shining example of the magic that can happen at The Farm on Pemberton, and it will be remembered as one of the most special days in the venue's history.
